People are both what we will leave behind on this earth and what will endure beyond time into eternity. Last year, Lemuel experienced a lot of growth, and God provided for some exciting projects, such as the well and the school construction. This year, the Lord has laid it on our hearts to slow down…

In January of 2017, Brad and Danyel and their children took the plunge to move in to our neighborhood and help us in our work here on the Plateau.  In the months from then to now, they have had almost every experience you can have as an overseas missionary: frequent illness from new bacteria…

One day, I received a letter in my office addressed to the Lemuel administration.  It was from a man in Anse-Rouge, asking for work.  We receive many, many letters from individuals and local groups asking for help.  Unfortunately, we cannot help everybody.  We were not looking to hire anyone else at the time, so…

Thank you for giving to our “Give a Job” campaign this Christmas.     Because of your generosity, we were able to pay our staff for the month of December and get a head start on the coming months.

Dave Muchmore–Lemuel’s US treasurer and an adviser to Lemuel leadership–recently visited the Plateau.  He writes the following: November 29, 2017 Yesterday afternoon, I sat at Judy’s dining room table with Lemuel’s leadership team.  Once again they are facing a test of their faith as they look to the end of their calendar year.   Right…

Look at those faces!  This is one of the outtakes from picture day at the school.  These are the second graders….and what an effervescent, hilarious group they are (as you can see). The start-up tasks of the new work year (Sept-June), coupled with a fickle internet, have made it difficult to put up regular…

The development department has traveled south to visit some friends who live and work in Grand Goâve.  It is a rare chance for most people in our community. While they are there, they will be visiting several places where they can observe and learn about different areas of expertise in their line of work.

After four years of hard study, Thony has graduated from STEP seminary in Port-au-Prince!  Thony was one of Lemuel’s kids from the early days in Port-au-Prince, after which he came to work for us on the Plateau.  It is a joy to see all that God has done in his life and where he is…

It is always a joy for us when we see our staff taking initiative and pride in investing in their community.  This past week, we saw this happen in two ways. On Saturday, DDL (Lemuel’s Development Department) organized a community wide event to raise funds towards the purchase of a tractor for the community….

Samuel, along with Bryon Sparling, took a moment to snap this shot with the guys at Samuel’s Trees about a week ago. Samuel, of course, is the Samuel of Samuel’s Trees.  He started the project a couple years ago. Rolmy, Lucsene, Wesnet, and Brunel are stationed at Samuel’s Trees and are responsible for its…
