A 40-ft container of food boxes from Kids Against Hunger arrived on Thursday, April 9th. It couldn't have come at a better time for our community!
It was a late night of lifting boxes, passing them assembly-line style, and stacking them in storage containers, but everyone was full of energy and excitement because of the arrival of the boxes.
These boxes will allow us to reach out to our community at a very critical time. They will provide relief and aid to the handicapped, elderly, and others in particularly vulnerable situations. They will provide food for struggling families through our temporary work programs (which will benefit the families twice over through the community projects accomplished). They will encourage and support our staff who are temporarily laid off due to government restrictions and limited functioning.
Everyone was excited and encouraged by the arrival of the boxes. Our sincere thanks to all who participated in this gift!
