Color Day!

At the end of every period (there are four periods in a year), the school holds a week of exams.  On the Friday before exam week, they have “Color Day.”  This means that the kids don’t have to wear uniforms, but can sport whatever colors they like.

Although, classes functioned as usual this morning, the kids were in for a special treat this afternoon…

…A movie!  All the primary school students gathered in the fifth grade classroom to watch a movie about Toussaint Louverture, the original leader of the slave revolution.

(The Kindergarten kids were in a different classroom, and watched a movie more at their level).

The school staff was also very colorful today.  They recently had bright polo shirts made with the school’s logo to wear on color days or school outings.
