Pyebwa sa yo ap plante nan tout kominote a! L’ap fè anpil eksperyans tou nan eseye fè manje tankou tomat, piman dous, e berejèn—bagay ki pat janm konn fèt nan zòn pa nou. Nou fyè de li e de travay sa ke l’ap fè. Kominote pa nou se pou nou! Ann travay pou fè li yon kote moun anvi rete.
The youth are working hard to see their community reforested! Luccène is a young man largely responsible for the tree nursery at DDL, where he cares for all different kinds of saplings that they have started. These trees are being planted all over the community! He is also experimenting with growing food like tomatoes, bell peppers, and eggplant--things that have not been grown in our area. We are proud of him and the work he is doing! Our community belongs to us (ie, it is our asset/responsibility)! Let's work to make it a place where people want to stay.
